Merit Badge Info

Eagle Scouts must earn 14 White Ring "Eagle" Merit Badges and 7 other of their choosing as part of the requirements for Eagle Scout.  Ranks above First Class Scout (Star and Life) also require a certain number of merit badges in order to advance.   There are about 120 Green Ring merit badges to choose from that vary from arts and science to sports and various hobbies.   A full list of Merit Badges from A-Z can be found HERE

Swimming, Cycling, or Hiking

Environmental Science or Sustainability

Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving

Scouts must work with a Merit Badge Councilor in order to complete their Merit Badge.  Many Merit Badges can be earned at Summer Camp or through a groups Sponsored Merit Badge University or Academy.   Merit Badges may also be offered at the Troop Level or individually with a MB Councilor (plus a buddy or parent).
